Salafist Spring sweeps into Egypt

This can't be good news for the wishful thinkers in the State Department.

Just as they're busy as can be orchestrating the creation of a US friendly Syrian resistance at those meetings in Doha, the revolution in Egypt takes a massive right turn.

Tahrir Square was today packed with flag waving fundamentalists. No, they don't love America. They don't much love the Jews next door either. Luckily for all of us they hate the Shia apostates more than they hate the rest of us.

In case you haven't noticed, the Tunisian "Arab Spring" is heading in the same direction, as is the NATO engineered "Spring" that was sprung on Libya a year ago.

There is a segment of the defense community who think that the Salafist's hatred of the Shia makes them valuable allies in the war on Iran.

While that may be a tempting thought, it is rather like lighting a stick of dynamite and pretending it's a candle. It will briefly provide some light, but then what?...
