Piss on them, they're dead anyway

Denials were ricocheting through the air as the American military scrambled to distance itself from the now infamous “piss-on-‘em-they’re-dead-anyway” video.

“The actions portrayed are not consistent with our core values.” quoth a Marine Corps spokesman.

“It was disgusting… turned my stomach,” another Pentagon nabob claimed.

American commentators will twist themselves into pretzels trying to cling to some claim to the moral high ground, however tenuous.

“A few bad apples…”

“No longer in the services…”

“Not indicative of the morals of the Marines in our Corps…”

We’ve heard it all before, haven’t we?

Wasn’t  Abu Graib all about a few bad apples too? And it’s odd what will turn a Pentagon General’s stomach. A civilian wedding party turned into a smoldering heap of entrails by an errant Hellfire missile is what’s know as an “oopsie” in military jargon. Those are OK with the high command. After all, it’s war.

Shit happens.

But peeing on dead Taliban?

Never!

  1. Yeah, I never really understood our double standards. It is ok to kill people but not ok to pee on them? Why?

Americans just do not understand that in any modern war 90% of the casualties will be civilians. And of those, 70% will be women and children. When you see an American that supports the war, you are looking at someone that cheers the murder of women and children.

Frankly, they should show stuff like this each and every day so the American people can see what their tax dollars have purchased.
